Three men have been taken into custody in Shreveport after authorities busted into a hotel room. Police say they seized hashish oil, hash and marijuana during the raid. The Louisiana arrests come in the wake of a three-week-long investigation conducted by the Shreveport Caddo Narcotics Unit. The men have been charged with drug possession with intent to distribute among other crimes.

Ten different people were recently arrested on drug charges in Springhill. The arrests were made as a part of an undercover drug sting. According to law enforcement officials, a police informant offered Xanax bars and meth to various individuals, arranging for a meeting at a motel. Undercover agents completed the alleged drug deals, and then the arrests and drug charges were made.

$75k paid to Louisiana man for false drug possession charge

Recently, a man was paid $75,000 by the city of New Orleans to settle his federal complaint against the city. In his lawsuit, he alleged that he was falsely arrested by New Orleans police officers on a drug possession charge back in 2011. However, according to the lawsuit, one of the officers who filed the police report was not even present at the time.
